Twerk Race 3DFunction introduction
"I can only be thankful that Anne's life was spared," said Marilla, with a shiver, recalling those hours of darkness when the girl she loved was passing through the valley of the shadow.
Nintendo finally did it - after numerous rumours and patent filings, the company is bringing a new Labo kit that provides players with a simple VR headset.

Dubbed the Nintendo Labo: VR Kit, it looks a lot like Google's Cardboard headsets, since a) it's made out of cardboard and b) it has to be held in place by the user, rather than being strapped onto their face. Presumably so it's safer to use with children.

Included with the VR headset are the Toy-Con Blaster, Toy-Con Camera, Toy-Con Bird, Toy-Con Wind Pedal and Toy-Con Elephant, none of which have been properly detailed at this point. All we know is that they'll land on April 12th - we don't even have a price yet.

This kit comes in two flavours - either the full Labo VR Kit with the above Toy-Cons included, or a Starter Kit which comes with the goggles and Toy-Con Blaster. You can then pick up the rest of the Toy-Cons as expansion sets if you then enjoy your experience and want a bit more.

And coding fans can rejoice, as the Toy-Con Garage will also return, allowing you to mess with the included Toy-Cons and make your own VR experiences. That's probably worth the price of admission alone.

Now, on the face of it, this isn't hugely exciting to me. VR is a bit old-hat these days, and while Nintendo's Toy-Con additions to the goggles look like they'll add some extra dimensions of interactivity, it's doubtful that these experiences will provide anything particularly new or exciting.

That said, Nintendo does have a way of making relatively mundane activities a lot of fun with its cardboard peripherals. We absolutely loved the Vehicle Kit, and that was just a set of steering wheels and joysticks. Plus, coding your own VR experiences? Now that's pretty killer.

The Nintendo Labo: VR Kit hits stores on April 12th, and we'll have more info (like a price for starters) closer to the time. We'll also hopefully get our hands on it too, so keep your eyes peeled for all that and more in the coming month or so.

Only the dashiest of Duke Dashingtons could have tickled our fancy back in the day, but Adventure Islands has confirmed that they'll be bringing the moustachioed chap back fully remastered.

Yep, Duke Dashington Remastered has been worked on from the ground up, allegedly giving the game tighter controls, a more polished level design, and newer hand-drawn graphics. Oo er.

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, DD is a decent platform puzzler about our aforementioned adventurer, Mr. Dashington, as he dashes through crumbling dungeons to snatch up the treasure inside. If that sounds too easy you've only got ten seconds to complete a room, sunshine, so best lace up your boots properly and get ready to peg it.

There's no release date just yet but with the last dungeon in development there's no doubt it'll be launching on iOS sometime this year. We'll keep you posted.

It's here a day early.

Yep, Cartoon Survivor was meant to be out for Android tomorrow (that's what we were told last week) but it's available right now.

Oh, and it has all the updated features that rolled out to the iOS version today, too.

That includes the option to have slide, button, and tap controls. Plus, the additional content and levels are cheaper to buy and unlock than they were before.

This addresses the issues we found in our review as well as those that our App Army brought up. So hopefully the game is much improved.

If you don't know, Cartoon Survivor has you guiding a dodo across cartoon environments. The aim is to get to the end of each track before the dynamite on its back blows up.

Sofus and the Moonmachine may be new to the market but it's certainly made its presence known. Retailing at £3.99/$4.99, The Outer Zone has contacted us letting us know that for the rest of this week the game is totally free to download.

Sofus and the Moonmachine follows the story of Sofus, a little gnorf, as he builds a spaceship and takes a perilous journey to fix the Moonmachine (as I've said before in this article).

After a successful launch on the 14th July, we gave the game a glowing review and can only hope that there is more of this to come.

Interactive storybooks/gamebooks could be the thing that's missing in a lot of bedtime routines. If you must have the iPad before bed, at least do something that doesn't include destroying a bloody castle – read a wonderful story and feel all warm and fuzzy.

Grab Sofus and the Moonmachine here on iTunes before the offer ends.

In this week's Pokemon Masters news, DeNA has announced a Rally where players will be able to gain 10,000 Co-op Sync Orbs. Elsewhere there's a Psychic-Type Training Event and the expansion of two Pokemon's Sync Grids.

As mentioned in the last message to players, there are changes to the way Sync Orbs can be earned. The Sync Orb Chance messages will no longer appear and the amount of co-op orbs you can get through events has been increased, starting with the 10,000 Co-op Sync Orb Rally.

This will run from today until May 25th and will be a mixture of log-in bonuses and missions. The log-in bonuses will come in two phases, both lasting for 14 days. This will net you 1400 orbs for each phase, giving a grand total of 2800.

The remaining 7200 can be earned through missions that can be found on the Event tab on the mission page. They consist of tackling co-op Main Story missions on the Super Hard difficulty settings a certain number of times with specific Sync Pair types in your line up. Even though these are co-op missions in name, you can now beat them on your own thanks to a recent update.
Pokemon Masters cheats, tips - How to beat Battle Villa #4
Elsewhere there's a Psychic-Type Training Event that will run from today until May 4th. This will allow you to gain boosted experience for your Psychic Pokemon. There will also be a host of missions to complete based on the battles available in this event that will net you co-op orbs, vouchers and Gems.

Those vouchers can be exchanged for various training items or to increase the Sync Move strength of the featured Sync Pair in this event, Calem & Espurr. This also means that some of the missions will involve levelling up this duo, as is often the case.

To coincide with the Psychic-Type event Calem & Espurr have also had their Sync Grid expanded, giving the pair more build options. Similarly, Caitlin & Reuniclus, another Psychic pairing, have also had their Sync Grid expanded. They'll have their own spotlight that will run until May 4th where you'll have an increased chance to get them, though frankly when Mewtwo exists you don't need to.

Pokemon Masters is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
Enjoy Japanese-made games? Here 25 of the best available for Android
